FAQs
Is the Ranger 3.0 Pro UL certified?
Yes. The Ranger 3.0 Pro is UL2849 certified, and their batteries meet UL2271 standards. UL certification ensures each battery charges efficiently and performs safely, giving riders peace of mind.
What is the max load of the Ranger 3.0 Pro? What about the rear rack?
The Ranger 3.0 Pro supports up to 440 lbs, including the rider and cargo. The rear rack is rated to carry up to 100 lbs.
Can I ride Ranger 3.0 Pro in the rain?
The Ranger 3.0 Pro is rated IPX5 water-resistant, meaning it’s safe to ride in light rain. However, we do not recommend riding in heavy downpours or submerging the bike in water.
What's the difference between a torque sensor model like Ranger 3.0 Pro and those that use cadence sensor?
The Ranger 3.0 Pro uses a torque sensor, which delivers a more natural and responsive ride by matching motor assistance to how hard you're pedaling. It feels like your own power is being amplified. In contrast, cadence sensors activate motor power based on pedaling motion alone, often resulting in more abrupt or less consistent acceleration.
What is a full-suspension ebike?
A full-suspension ebike has both a front suspension fork and a rear suspension system (horst-link design). Compared to hardtail bikes which only have front suspension, full-suspension models provide better comfort, traction, and control—especially on rough or uneven terrain.
Can I convert the Ranger 3.0 Pro to Class 3 or Class 1?
Yes. The Ranger 3.0 Pro is configured as Class 2 by default, with a throttle and a 20 MPH top speed. To convert it to Class 3, disable the throttle and unlock the top speed to 28 MPH using the display settings or the Heybike App. To convert it to Class 1, simply disable the throttle and keep the top speed at 20 MPH.
Does the Ranger 3.0 Pro come with fenders and a rear rack?
Yes. The Ranger 3.0 Pro includes both front and rear fenders as well as a rear rack, offering added protection and utility right out of the box.
What does it mean to have an adjustable air shock?
An adjustable air shock allows you to change the suspension stiffness by adjusting the air pressure inside the shock. Lowering the air pressure makes the suspension softer for a more cushioned ride, while increasing the pressure makes it firmer for better support on rough terrain or heavier loads.
