What is an off-road ebike?
An off-road e-bike, also known as an electric mountain bike or eMTB, is a type of electric bicycle designed specifically for off-road riding and trail exploration. It combines the features and capabilities of a traditional mountain bike with an electric motor to provide additional power and assist the rider in navigating challenging terrains.
Where can I ride my ebike for off-road?
You can ride your ebike for off-road adventures in various locations, including mountainous terrains such as the Rockies, the Sierra Nevada, or the Appalachians. These mountain ranges offer a plethora of trails specifically designed for mountain biking, including beginner-friendly routes and challenging trails.
Are the ebikes waterproof?
For the waterproof level, Heybike ebikes meet IPX4 standards; the motor, battery, and display meet IP64 standards. Our ebikes are designed to handle wet conditions, but we don't recommend riding ebikes in heavy rain or overly wet environments.
What type of suspension does the off-road ebike have?
Most off-road ebikes are equipped with at least a hydraulic front suspension (Brawn, Explore). Some have a full-suspension system, which includes a horst-link/rear suspension and a front suspension (Hero, Horizon, Tyson). Either suspension greatly absorbs shock on mountain biking.
What’s the warranty? Can I extend it?
The original warranty is 1 year. If you purchase between April 1st and June 30th, 2024, we will give the bike another 1-year warranty (2 years warranty in total). As for Hero, we permanently offer a 2-year warranty for it. You can extend the bike warranty at the same time you place an order or within 30 days of purchase. Please note that different plans of extended warranty need corresponding payment.
What's the return & refund policy?
You have 30 days after receiving your package to request a return. Please first contact our customer service team at support@heybike.com to get a return shipping label.
