*edit to original review- this is a 0 or 1-star review. However HeyBike puts everything as a five star review no matter what you choose! Another strike against them… Making it look like they have great customer service. Ha !
First off, apparently I just missed the change on their warranty period and so they wouldn’t even help me until I bought the $45 (plus $15 shipping) part they THOUGHT might fix the problem. But of course, I first had to send pictures, videos, proof of where I purchased the bike, who assembled it, serial number, and a bunch of other crazy crap before they would even answer a question. Then it took over 25 days for the part to be received on my end, even though their website promised 8 day delivery. I had to reach out to them twice to get the part delivered. Once it finally arrived, I then brought the bike and the pedal sensor to my local bike shop to be installed. They had it installed quickly, but then the speedometer was malfunctioning and would not display higher than 10 mph even though the bike would go 15 to 20 mph easily. My bike shop called heybike 3 times and got the runaround each time asking stupid questions like where I bought the bike, proof of purchase, etc. instead of again, just answering the question so I can ride my bike. So finally after a week and a half of this, I just picked up my bike and brought it home. I then reached out to heybike via email thru my original message and got the same runaround… Send video of the problem, proof of purchase, serial number, etc. (which they already had) instead of just answering the question on how to fix the speedometer issue. As of today, they still have not answered my question. Horrible customer service.
